🌊 Capo Carbonara Marine Protected Area

A unique natural heritage in the heart of Villasimius

The Capo Carbonara Marine Protected Area spans over 14,000 hectares along the southeastern coast of Sardinia, from Capo Boi to Serpentara Island. Established in 1998, it is managed by the Municipality of Villasimius with the aim of protecting marine biodiversity and promoting sustainable tourism.

The waters of the AMP host meadows of Posidonia oceanica, gorgonians, groupers, barracudas, and occasionally dolphins. The area is divided into four zones (A, B, C, D), each with specific regulations for boating, fishing, and diving.

  • Zone A: Integral Reserve, access prohibited.
  • Zone B: Regulated swimming and diving permitted.
  • Zone C: Sport fishing allowed with authorization.
  • Zone D: Moderate-speed boating permitted.

Aboard Matilda, you can explore this natural treasure while fully respecting environmental regulations. Our excursions are designed to offer you an authentic and sustainable experience.
